Luke 1:5-25
- God always has a purpose in the silence.
i. Startling Appearance (vs. 5-12)
ii. Surprising Announcement (vs. 13-25)
Two things the angel says (v. 13)
1. Do not be afraid.
2. Your petition has been heard.
Gabriel said John would:
1. Lead a very disciplined life.
2. Be empowered by the Spirit.
3. Be a prophet.
Takeaways:
- Silence from God does not mean the inactivity of God in your life.
- God’s timeline for everything in your life is right and purposeful.
- Nothing is impossible with God.
- Believe and do what God says.
